My name is Jocelynn and I am a wife, mother of two, and an alum of family child daycare. Although I am a new educator, I grew up in family childcare. My mom has owned and operated Robyn’s Nest Daycare in Agawam Massachusetts for over 23 years. Through growing up in her daycare, helping out with activities and annual events as I got older, and now having my own children, I bring a lot of child care experience to this newly established daycare and understand the significance of quality childcare in our children’s lives.

I graduated from Framingham State University in 2007 and went straight into a corporate career. After having my two boys, my heart was no longer in my job. In the midst of opening my own daycare, I am excited to not only spend more time with my own children, but to provide a safe and nurturing environment for other children whose parents do still have a passion for what they do outside the home.

My philosophy:

I believe young children learn best through play and thrive on a routine. At Early bloomers we have

a daily schedule and will stick to it as best as possible, although we all know children are unpredictable! Even though we have a schedule there is plenty of room for fun. We will have monthly theme based curriculums whether they are seasonally appropriate, based on upcoming holidays, or just new topics (dinosaurs, weather, animals etc.) that we would like to learn more about. Every week we will have new fun and educational activities, stories, songs and games. We will follow along with the school year so our summers will most likely be more relaxed so as to enjoy as much of the nice weather as possible. However, there is still plenty to learn and do even on those lazy summer days!

I also believe that childcare is a team effort and encourage parent involvement and communication. The stronger our team, the more the children will get out of this relationship. I want all parents to feel as though they can go to work knowing that their children are in a loving and supportive environment. This will ensure that we can all do our jobs, to the best of our ability, every day. I will do my best to keep the whole family involved and plan on hosting an annual event this summer for all our daycare families to attend so that we can all get to know each other better and work together as a unit.

My goal:

I strive to provide the highest quality care that our children deserve. I am CPR and First aid certified and I will attend training annually in order to learn new and innovative ways to reach our children as well as develop myself as a professional. I will provide your child with a safe, loving, fun and stimulating learning environment that will instill a readiness not only for school but for social interactions as well. Learning is integrated into our curriculum in order to be exciting and fun while shaping the child as a whole and supporting their cognitive, social, emotional and physical development. I welcome all questions and feedback and hope that I can make a difference in you and your child’s life. I want Early Bloomers to be where children learn, grow, and blossom!
